Guru Bhavanis’ meet convened

Officials of the Endowments, Revenue and Police departments on Wednesday conducted a meeting with ‘Guru Bhavanis’ (those who initiate devotees into deeksha) at Kanakadurga temple on Indrakeeladri and discussed various issues pertaining to the conduct of ‘Bhavani Deeksha Viramana’. ’Guru Bhavanis’ complained that the facilities being provided were insufficient. They mooted the idea of organising the ‘deekshas’ thrice a year instead of once a year. They said it would ensure safety and convenience of devotees. Police Commissioner K.V. Rajendranath Reddy proposed announcing a detailed schedule for devotees.
