Rotary Club presents Paul Harris Fellow awards

Yeomen services rendered by recipients lauded

MADURAI: The Rotary Club of Madurai East presented the Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) awards to its members — James Devadoss, G. S. Venkatraman, K. Muthuraju and I. Subramanian — at a function held here on Tuesday.

Speakers lauded the yeomen services rendered by the PHF award recipients individually and urged the Rotarians to continue to serve the society.

They recalled the participation of Rotarians in the drive to eradicate polio in the country and appealed to join in similar programmes that would uplift the society in every sphere. The members also offered felicitation to club’s charter president A. K. Ramamoorthy for his contribution in the field of education.

N. M. R. V. Sivaprasad, advocates R. Satyamurthy and M. N. Sankaran, Winfred, former Rotary Governors T. Ramanathan and Shanmugasundaram offered felicitations. Club president S. Rajakarthihan presided. VT. Sadasivan, secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.
