AIDS awareness rally taken out

FOR A CAUSE: NCC cadets taking out a rally in Madurai on Wednesday.

MADURAI: Junior Division cadets of the 2 (TN) Medical Company National Cadet Corps took out an AIDS awareness rally here on Wednesday.

The rally was flagged off from Madura College Higher Secondary School by Colonel P.K. Dhage, Officer Commanding, 2 (TN) Med Coy NCC. The rally concluded at Madurai Medical College. After the rally, an AIDS awareness oath was also administered to the cadets. Madurai Medical College’s NCC officer P. Mohan Kumar delivered a lecture on AIDS awareness for the students. Around 600 students from Madura College Higher Secondary School, Setupati Higher Secondary School, MLW Primary School, Mangayarkarasi Higher Secondary School, Thiagarajar Model Higher Secondary School, Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, U.C. Higher Secondary School and Sourashtra Higher Secondary School took part in the rally.
