Navneeth, Nisarga emerge champions
BANGALORE: A.R. Navneeth and N. Nisarga emerged junior boys’ and junior girls’ champions respectively in the State table tennis championship here on Wednesday.
Akshay Mohanty and C. Shubhashree took the sub-junior titles.
The results: Boys: Junior: A.R. Navneeth bt V. Akhil 8-11, 11-9, 6-11, 12-10, 11-3, 6-11, 11-8. Sub-junior: Akshay Mohanty bt Shreyal Telang 11-9, 7-11, 11-3, 6-11, 11-7.
Girls: Junior: N. Nisarga bt C. Shubhashree 11-9, 4-11, 11-7, 5-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5. Sub-junior: C. Shubashree bt Madhutrya 9-11, 13-11, 11-6, 10-12, 11-4.
Non-medallist: Madan Kumar bt C. Shubhashree 5-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-6.
