Minister’s gesture

A woman Rajeswari, from Vadakarai village in Pappireddypatti taluk came to the function and requested the Minister to help her attend the last rites of her husband. She then fainted on the dais. Later, she told the Minister that her husband died in a road accident when she was away in Tirupur on Tuesday. She feared that the relatives of her late husband would not allow her to attend his last rites.

Later, she took part in the rituals following the Minister’s intervention, D. Vijayaraghavan, DSP, Dharmapuri, told The Hindu.
