Patriotic songs in jail premises

Special Correspondent

CUDDALORE: Director-General of Prisons R. Natraj has said that starting from November 14 patriotic songs are being played in all the prisons across the State in the mornings and evenings.

Mr. Natraj visited the Cuddalore Central Prison on Monday to inaugurate the new buildings constructed on the jail premises. He told the presspersons that the public address system in prisons would be used for relaying the patriotic songs in two sessions, i.e., from 6.30 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

Mr. Natraj said that such songs would inculcate a sense of patriotism among the inmates.
