Two labourers injured

PERAMBALUR: Two labourers working in a stone quarry at N. Pudur near here were injured when explosives, meant for blasting granite, blew up. According to police, the labourers – P.Pandu (35) and Lakshmanan ( 24) from Orissa – sustained grievous injuries apparently while handling the explosives on Monday. However, the incident was reported to the police only late on Monday night. The injured labourers to a private hospital at Salem and later shifted to GH there.
