Applications invited from private candidates

CHENNAI: The Directorate of Government Examinations has invited application from private candidates for the Higher Secondary Examinations scheduled for March and April.

Those who did not get through could also apply to sit for the examination of the particular subject. candidates who have passed Std. X and completed sixteen-and-a-half years of age on or before April 1 could also apply, if there is a gap of two years after passing Std. X, says an official release.

The examinations will be held under the syllabus introduced during 2005-06. Forms will be made available from Thursday till November 28 at the Office of the Chief Education Officers, the District Education Officers, the Joint Director (Education), Puduchery, and the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations Chennai, Vellore, Cuddalore, Tiruchi, Madurai, Tirunelveli and Coimbatore.
