BJP wave has started already: Malhotra

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, on Tuesday addressed election meetings in support of Jai Bhagwan Aggarwal from Rohini, Ravinder Bansal from Shalimar Bagh, Shyam Lal Garg from Shakur Basti, and Nand Kishore Garg from Tri Nagar and declared that “the BJP wave has started in Delhi”.

Stating that common citizens in Delhi had started feeling that a change of government will be in the interest of Delhi, he said the BJP had promised in its election manifesto that it would provide full Statehood to Delhi. “It is certain that the BJP will win by a heavy majority,” he declared.

Coming out into the electoral arena to campaign for the party candidates, BJP general secretary Vinay Katiyar on Tuesday charged that the United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre was accusing Hindu religious leaders of terrorism only to protect dreaded terrorists. Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi and BJP MP Najma Heptulla also addressed election meetings in support of party candidate Krishna Gahlot in Vikaspuri and Raj Singh in Nangloi Jat. BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley addressing a public meeting at Bhagwati Garden in support of Uttam Nagar candidate Pawan Sharma said the Congress had not only not fulfilled its old promises, it had also repeated them in its new manifesto.
