Venkat bags five wickets

CHENNAI: Venkat Thangappan, with a five-wicket haul, helped Kotak Mahindra Bank beat Freeze India in the inaugural league match of the SSCA-Corporate Twenty20 cricket tournament.

Freeze India 115 in 19.2 overs (Augustin 29, Venkat Thangappan five for 17) lost to

Kotak Mahindra Bank 116 for eight in 19.4 overs (Bala 23, Venkat Thangappan 28, Ramesh two for 15, Vasanth two for 15).
