Karnataka in a commanding position

MYSORE: Sunil Joshi bowled Karnataka into a strong position against Andhra at the end of the second day’s play in the Group ‘B’ Ranji Super Lague encounter here on Monday.

At close of play, Andhra in reply to Karnataka’s first innings total of 366, finished the day at 161 for seven in 55 overs and is struggling to save the follow-on. Joshi returned figures of four for 23.

For Andhra, Manoj Sai (70, 128m, 106b, 11x4s) andM. Suresh (29 not out, 4x4s) added 104 runs for the seventh wicket. Earlier in the day, Joshi scored a half-century and forged a 74-run partnership for the ninth wicket with N.C. Aiyappa
