Three-week training for fitters

Walk-in interview to be held on November 21

and 22


COIMBATORE: The South India Textile Research Association will organise a job-oriented fitters training programme free of cost for candidates from backward and most backward classes and denotified communities.

A release from the association said the three-week programme would be held from November 24 at the SITRA powerloom centres in Karur, Komarapalayam, Palladam, Rajapalayam, Salem, Somanur and Tiruchengode. Candidates should have completed class X and be below 30 years. A walk-in interview would be held on November 21 and 22 at the weaving department of the association here.

Selected candidates would be trained as fitters in Sulzer projectile/rapier weaving machinery, the release added.

Candidates should bring the original and photocopy of certificates of their educational qualifications, school transfer certificate, mark sheet, community certificate, income certificate and a Rs. 5 stamped self-addressed envelope for the interview.
