Sobin nets winner

NEW DELHI: Sobin struck the match-winner as Delhi Cantonment defeated Youngsters Club 1-0 to enhance its chances of qualification for the super league in the DSA ‘A’ division football league here.

Delhi Cantonment has 11 points from five matches, and Youngsters, 10 from five.

In another match, Uttarakhand Club defeated Garhwal Diamond 1-0 following a goal by Rakesh Rawat in the 60th minute. Uttarakhand has seven points from five matches, while Garhwal Diamond has four from four.

Mughals Club recorded its fourth successive victory, a 3-0 triumph over Uttaranchal Heroes, thanks to the goals by Mujhid (2) and Anil Oran, to strengthen its chances of returning to the senior division.

Ajmal Club beat Veterans Club 2-0 as Krishan and Rajesh Arya scored in the 10th and 50th minutes respectively. Ajmal has 10 points from five matches, and Veterans, five from six. — Special Correspondent
