India triumphs

NEW DELHI: India overwhelmed Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal 3-0 each to capture the title in the first South Asian under-16 tennis championship at the National Tennis Complex, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Shabaaz Khan played a key role in India’s triumph and was ably supported by S.V. Abhishek and Mohit Mayur. Nar Singh was the coach of the team. Host Bangladesh finished runner-up as it beat the other three teams.
