Heavy rain

Nagercoil: Various parts of Kanyakumari district witnessed heavy rain on Monday.

According to sources, all dams are filling up fast. The district administration has released water from Pechipparai, Perunchani and other dams for irrigation. The level in Pechipparai stood at 46.02 feet, 72.57 feet in Perunchani, 15.12 feet in Chittar I, 15.12 feet in Chittar II and 18.70 feet in Poigai dam.
