International school in city

HYDERABAD: Global Indian International School (GIIS), a leading international school in Asia with presence in seven countries, is setting up a campus in Uppal with an objective of extending quality education at affordable cost. Global Indian Foundation (GIF), a non-profit organisation based at Singapore operates this pan-Asian educational institution chain, for catering to educational and cultural requirements of Indian Diaspora.

Addressing media persons here on Monday, Maneesh Tripathi, CEO and Director General, GIF-Singapore, said that GIIS campus to come up in four acres in city from next academic year would offer kindergarten to Std. VII in the first phase and extend it to Std. XII in three years. It would be the only school to offer CBSE, IGCSE (Cambridge), and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses for students to give them exposure to international quality education and prepare them to become global players, he said.

Mr. Tripathi said in a span of six years, GIIS schools had come up in Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam with 15 campuses and 17,000 students.
