Tamil novel prize competition

COIMBATORE: Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust has instituted a bi-annual “Thirumathi Rangammal Prize” that is being awarded for the best Tamil novel published in the country.

According to a release from the Trust, the award consists of Rs. 15,000 for the author and Rs. 5,000 for the publisher.

Nominations are called for the award that will be given away in 2009. Authors of Tamil novels published in 2007 and 2008 are eligible to submit their works. Registration should be accompanied by four copies of the author’s work. It should be sent to the Managing Trustee, Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore – 641014. Last date for receipt of nominations is January 31, 2009.
