Second innings for TRS district chief

Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: T. Raghunandana Rao, former district president of the TRS, has been appointed for the post again on Monday. This was for the second time Raghunandana Rao has been taking up this responsibility.

This was decided at a meeting at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad presided over by party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Medak being the native district of the TRS president, the onus of steering the party towards the goal lies more and more on Raghunandana Rao, in the coming general elections. Though two more persons – Devender Reddy and Beeraiah Yadav tried their best to secure the top post for themselves, they could not succeed.

Though the party was not divided so far, it has to be seen how the equations are likely to change at the time of election.

This may arise on two counts – party may not nominate those who are aspiring for party tickets and some may have to be sacrificed in the case of alliance with any other political party. In both these, the responsibility of pacifying flared tempers will lie more on the district unit president.

This apart, Raghnandana Rao should be on equal terms with both party MLA T. Harish Rao and K. Rama Rao, son of Chandrasekhar Rao, who is also holding a key position in the party.`` I will see that the party will fare well in the district in the next general elections with better coordination among party leaders and workers,” Raghunandana Rao told The Hindu after his appointment was announced. K. Rajaiah Yadav was appointed party district in-charge-coordination.
