Special Correspondent

SAGAR: Bharati Tirtha Swamiji, Sankaracharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, has said that people should follow the divine and religious pursuits as they were the powerful weapons to achieve “atmoddhaara”.

The swamiji was addressing a meeting of devotees after reinstalling the idol of Sri Sharadamba at the Sharadamba Temple at Choradi in Sagar taluk on Sunday.

The Sanakaracharya also installed the kalasas at the gopuram of the temple and inaugurated the Sharadamba Conference Hall belonging to the Konkani Achar community.

The swamiji said small communities should remain united for observing religious rites in a systematic manner.

The Sankaracharya felicitated the legal advisor to Chief Minister K. Diwakar, member of the Shikaripur Town Municipal Council B.Y. Raghavendra and Sigandur Education Trust president Bilibellur N. Krishnamurthy on the occasion.
