Documentary film bonanza

Bangalore: “Travelling Film South Asia 2008” (TFSA 08), a film festival featuring 13 acclaimed documentaries from the South Asian region, will be screened here from November 21 to 23.

The documentaries have been selected from the films screened in the competitive section of Film South Asia, 2007.

The films to be screened at TFSA 08 include the winner of the Ram Bahadur Trophy for the Best Film, Ironeaters, by Bangladeshi filmmaker Shaheen Dill-Riaz. Some of the other films to be screened at the festival are Chandra Siddan’s Remembrance of Things Present (winner of the Second Best Film Award at FSA), Sara Singh’s The Sky Below and Dipesh Kharel’s A Life with Slate (both joint winners of the Best Debut Film Award).
