RDO probe into woman’s death

CHENNAI: A 25-year-old woman of Thiruninravur hanged herself on Saturday after being tortured for dowry by her husband and in-laws, police said. A Revenue Divisional Officer enquiry had been ordered and her husband was on the run.

The Thiruninravur police identified the victim as Rukmani alias Jeniffer. She had married Suresh alias Moses of Puthiyarajangkuppam, Thiruninravur, last August.
