Amit, Arpita claim titles

NEW DELHI: Amit Kathari and Arpita won the under-14 titles in the boys and girls section of the Reebok Salwan Country Run at the Nicholson Range here on Sunday.

In its 15th year, the run attracted more than 30,000 kids and there was a special event held for 730 visually challenged from various states.

The race was flagged of by Director of Education Chander Bhushan Kumar and well-known sportspersons Satpal and Asha Agarwal.

The Additonal Solicitor General of India Gopal Subramanium gave away the prizes.

The results: Boys’ under-14: 1. Amit Kathari, 2. Satinder, 3. Amit Yadav. Under-16: 1. Rahul Gama, 2. Ganga Ram, 3. Karan. Under-18: 1. Devender, 2. Sumit, 3. Jitender Pal.

Girls’ Under-14: 1. Arpita, 2. Ankita, 3. Minashi. Under-16: 1. Seema, 2. Pooja, 3.Yogita. Under-18: 1. Seema, 2. Pushpa, 3. Rekha.

Special event: Boys: 1. Ram Karan, 2. Kishan Kant, 3. Prateek. Girls: 1. Reena, 2. Shabnam, 3. Roshni. — Special Correspondent
