VS calls on Krishna Iyer

KOCHI: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Sunday paid a visit to jurist V.R.Krishna Iyer, who turned 94 on Saturday.

Mr. Iyer hugged Mr. Achuthanandan and expressed his satisfaction that the Chief Minister had come calling with birthday greetings. Mr. Achuthanandan presented a bouquet of flowers to Mr. Iyer.

The Chief Minister later paid a visit to the ailing senior CPI(M) leader E. Balanandan at Kalamassery.
