Discount scheme for defaulters

CHENNAI: To realise its outstanding dues, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle has introduced a new discount scheme as a one time measure for defaulters under Basic, WLL and mobile telephone.

According to a BSNL press release, the scheme is applicable only to defaulters of private phones disconnected before March 31, 2008, and for the period up to December 31, 2008. There is also a discount up to 25 per cent depending upon the age of outstanding dues as on March 31, 2008.

The customers are given the option to pay the outstanding dues in convenient instalment and get their telephone connection restored. — Special Correspondent
