“Karunanidhi should lead all-party team to Delhi”

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi should lead an all-party delegation to New Delhi to urge the Centre to exert pressure on Sri Lanka for an immediate ceasefire in the island nation, Viduthalai Chiruthaikal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol. Thirumavalavan said on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference here, he said there was no point in passing resolutions after resolutions. It was a compelling situation wherein all party leaders should unite and fight for a singular cause. Tamil Nadu government should take a firm decision and urge the Centre for an early solution.

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leaders should set aside their differences and unite for this cause or else it would be a betrayal, he said.
