Bangalore: Teams from Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore have been gearing up to battle it out at the sixth edition of the Texas Instruments Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz over the past month. Bright minds that made to the national level came together at St. John’s Auditorium, Koramangala, here on Sunday for the final fight. The quiz was launched in 2003 to encourage the spirit of scientific inquiry among the youth. Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Nungambakkam, Chennai, won the national round. Harish Krishna V. and Varun Rajagopal, ninth standard students of the winning school, walked away with the first prize: Apple Mac Notebooks. The Bangalore regional winner was the National Public School, which represented the city at the nationals.
