Thrissur: Social critic Sukumar Azhikode has said that Vedas represent knowledge and not mere rites. Inaugurating a seminar held at Kadavallur Sree Rama Temple, near here, on Sunday as part of Kadavallur Anyonyam, he said that Vedas were the source of all kinds of knowledge. C.M. Neelakantan presided. S. Rajasekharan, pro-vice chancellor of Sree Sankara University of Sanskrit, T. K. Narayanan, Registrar of Calicut University and Pradeepan Pampirikunnu were present.
