Chennai: Srinivasulu’s brace helped HVF Avadi to a 4-0 win over BSNL Chennai Telephones in the CHA first division hockey championship match, here on Friday.
The results: RBI 3 (Stephen, Amaranth, Balasubramanian) bt St. George’s 0; HVF Avadi 4 (Srinivasulu 2, Gafur Khan, Chandrasekar) bt BSNL Chennai Telephones 0; Indira Gandhi Mem. 2 (Kamal Raj, Dinakar) bt St. Paul’s 1 (Praveen Kumar).
Inter-School football
The Eicher inter-School football tournament for the A.M. Kanniappa Mudaliar Trophy which was interrupted at the pre-quarterfinal phase because of the wet weather, will resume on November 17.
As per the fresh fixtures, the final will be played on November 29.
The tournament, being organised by the Chennai Football Association at the St. Patricks AIHSS ground, Adyar, is sponsored by Eicher Motors Ltd.
Matches postponed
Due to inclement weather, all the TNCA league cricket matches scheduled for Sunday have been postponed.
