Two killed in accident

PUDUKOTTAI: Two persons, including a child, were killed on the spot and 10 others injured when a mini-van they were travelling in overturned at Avoor Pudupatti near here on Saturday.

The accident happened when the group was returning to Soorakudipatti after attending a funeral in a neighbouring village, the police said.

The deceased were identified dead as Vendas Raju (4) and Rajammal (50). The injured have been admitted to the Annal Gandhi Memorial Government Headquarters Hospital in Tiruchi. — Staff Reporter
