5 schoolgirls missing

TAMBARAM: Five schoolgirls, all studying in Standard IX, are missing since Friday evening. Sumitra and Tamilselvei of Adhi Nagar, East Tambaram, Jhansi of Ranaganathapuram in West Tambaram and Jeevitha and Prabhavathi of New Perungalathur were studying at a government aided school in East Tambaram.

After school hours on Friday, the girls did not return home, sources said. Their parents lodged complaints at the Tambaram and Selaiyur police stations and a special team had been formed to trace the girls.
