Tajdar Babar denies report

NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leader and former Minto Road MLA Tajdar Babar on Saturday denied reports that she would not be campaigning for the party in the run-up to the Assembly elections, saying that she had made no such announcement.

“I am a loyal soldier of the Congress Party and have so been for over 42 years. I like to believe that I am above petty politics which I cannot understand. Nor do I belong to the ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ genre of politicians. I have done and will do whatever I am instructed by my party,” she said.
