Ex-editor of Hindi daily dead
NEW DELHI: Binod Kumar Mishra, former Editor of the Hindi daily, Dainik Hindustan, died here on Saturday. He was 72.
Mr. Mishra was admitted to a local hospital on Wednesday after he suffered a brain haemorrhage and slipped into coma.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
Beginning his career with Dainik Hindustan as a reporter, he rose to become its Editor and served the Hindustan Times group for 33 years in different capacities. He also served as a member of the Press Council of India for two terms.
According to his family, the last rites will be performed at Nigam Bodh Ghat here on Sunday at 11-30 a.m.
