Congress seeks apology

HYDERABAD: The Congress demanded that former Union Minister P. Shiv Shankar tender an unconditional apology to AICC president Sonia Gandhi for baseless allegations against her.

Reacting strongly to the remarks made by Mr. Shiv Shankar here on Saturday after joining Praja Rajyam, AICC secretary P. Sudhakar Reddy said Mr. Shiv Shankar was a spent force and disgruntled element. It was unfortunate that a Congress leader, who enjoyed various positions in the government was now levelling allegations against the party leaders.
