ITF Challenger from Monday

KOLKATA: The $50,000 ITF women’s Challenger main draw gets underway here on Monday. Apart from Sunitha Rao, all regulars in the women’s circuit including Isha Lakhani, Ankita Bhambri, Shikha Uberoi, Sanaa Bhambri, Rushmi Chakravarthi and Shivika Burman will be seen in action at the Bengal Tennis Association (BTA) hard courts.

The tournamenthas Melanie South (ranked 122) of Great Britain as the highest ranked player in the main draw entries.— Principal Correspondent
