Bangalore: Samvaada.com, a web portal dedicated to the visual arts, is organising a two-day film appreciation camp and seminar on the works of well-known film director Girish Kasaravalli. The camp, on November 22 and 23 at Devarayanadurga, will include film shows and lectures on Mr. Kasaravalli’s works. A special feature will be an exhibition of rare paintings by artists including K.T. Pramod and Shivaraj on his film Ghatashraddha, based on U.R. Ananthamurthy’s original story. A dialogue with the film-maker has been organised on the occasion, according to a release by the portal. David Bond from France, who teaches French in Kuvempu University, and Mamata G. Sagar of Bangalore University will present papers.
