DAVANGERE: Deputy Commissioner K. Amaranarayana has expressed serious concern over the “misuse and overexploitation” of natural resources and has called upon people to use them judiciously. He also said sincere efforts should be made to protect natural resources for posterity. Inaugurating a two-day conference on ‘Green Management - Vision 2020’ organised by the Bapuji Academy of Management and Research here on Friday, Mr. Amaranarayana stressed the need for community involvement in protecting nature and said people should realise the importance of looking after the environment. The Deputy Commissioner said extensive production and use of renewable energy would not have an adverse affect on natural resources or pose any health hazards to human beings. The extensive use of solar power would help people during the power crisis and would also enable the Government to deal with the problem.
