Easy win for MP

HYDERABAD: Madhya Pradesh defeated Mumbai by seven wickets in the women’s under-19 all-India cricket tournament here on Thursday.

The scores: At Hyderabad: Mumbai 142 in 44.3 overs (Prajakta Shirwadar 35, Varsha Choudhary three for 34) lost to MPCA 143 for three in 39.3 overs (Shweta Mishra 50, Varsha Choudhary 43 not out).

Jharkhand 144 for eight in 50 overs beat Andhra 105 in 41.4 overs (Abhi Sarika three for 18).

At Anantapur: Bengal 223 for six in 50 overs (Paromita Roy 61 not out, Madhumanti 45) lost to Karnataka 224 for five in 46.1 overs (Sneha Prasanna 94 not out, Vanitha 42, Neha Maji three for 44).

UP 161 for eight in 50 overs (Nishita Pharasi 38) bt Maharashtra 83 in 43.3 overs (Poonam Yadav three for 10).
