THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Total Physical Fitness Programme (TPFP), a Kerala State Sports Council project, will be inaugurated on Friday. The State-level inauguration of the programme will be held at the St. Mary’s HSS here. Similar programmes to mark the inauguration of the programme will be held in all the districts as the day will be observed as ‘Physical Fitness Day’. Each of the participants would be put through a battery of tests so as to ascertain their individual physical fitness. The participants are to be provided with grades and badges according to the scores returned by them. The programme will cover students studying in classes five to nine this year before being extended up to the 12th standard next year. — Special Correspondent
