Unbeaten century by Zameeruddin

HYDERABAD: Mohd Zameeruddin scored an unbeaten 102 to guide Saleemnagar CC to a five wicket win over Oxford Blues in the A Division (two day matches) league cricket tournament here on Thursday.

The scores: A Division two day matches:

Oxford Blues 218 (A. Sushruth Kumar 78, Vikas Babu 52, Asheer 51, S. Nazeer Ahmed five for 43, Imad four for 50) lost to Saleemnagar CC 222 for five (Mohd Zamiruddin 102 not out, Shaikh Dadar 51, Jaffar Bakra 51, Abhinav Reddy five for 73).

B Division:

APAU 159 (Murali Babu 37, Manoj four for 25, Athav Anif three for 37, Babinder three for 14) lost to RBI 160 for six (Mohd Faraz 32, Khalid 35, Asif 35, Ramu three for 38, Praneet three for 56).

Hat-trick by Ali

Striker Mohammad Ali scored four goals, including a hat-trick, to fashion Hyderabad Globe’s impressive 6-0 win over State Bank of India in the Budweiser SAAP super league football championship at Gymkhana Grounds.

Pasha put Globe ahead in the 10th minute before Ali scored four goals. In the second session, Omer Khan struck once to complete the tally.

St. Andrews in final

St. Andrews school entered the final of the Sachdev Sports trophy inter-school football tournament when it edged out Don Bosco by a solitary gal scored by Sankrit on Thursday.

In the other semifinal Govt Boys HS beat Pallavi Model School 6-5 via the tie breaker.

League matches put off

All HCA league cricket matches scheduled to be held at Secunderabad Parade grounds from Nov 13 to 23 have been put off due to non availability of grounds. The new schedule will be released later.
