St. Stephen’s, Raghav qualify
NEW DELHI: G. Mariam Dum scored as St. Stephen’s Football Academy defeated Raghav Football Club 1-0 in the final of the North Zone qualifiers of the Manchester United Premier Cup football (under-15) tournament at the Air Force ground, Race Course, here on Thursday.
The finalists qualified for the India finals to be played in Goa next month.
In the first semifinal, Raghav Club beat Amity United Football Club 5-0, with Jaipal (two), Atul, Naveen and Ravindra finding the mark. Later, St. Stephen’s overcame Uttrakhand Football Academy 6-3 via tiebreak after the teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation period. — Special Correspondent
