Coimbatore: Haseeb of Youngsters Table Tennis Academy knocked out club-mate Nandesh twice the same day and emerged the mini cadet and under-11 champion of the ‘Catch them Young’ table tennis tournament for the S.R. Jewellery and G.S. & Company rolling trophies at the YTTA Hall here recently. Varshini, from the same club, did likewise defeating YTTA’s Sigappi to clinch the girls’ under-11 and sub-junior titles. Sigappi, however, gained sweet revenge over Varshini to pocket the under-16 title. The results (finals): Singles: Boys: Mini cadet: Haseeb (YTTA) bt Nandesh (YTTA) 12-10, 11-9. Cadet: Harshan (Tirupur) bt Hari Prasanna (Tirupur) 12-10, 16-14, 1-11, 11-5. Under-11: Haseeb bt Nandesh 11-6, 11-9. Sub-junior: Vikas (YTTA) bt Srinivasan (KTVR) 12-10, 9-11, 11-3, 11-9.
