Maharashtra posts win

CHENNAI: Maharashtra overcame Chhattisgarh 22-16 in a 37th senior National women’s handball quarterfinal match here on Thursday.

Nisha (9) and Gayatri (6) were the top-scorers for Maharashtra while Sondya (7) collected the most number of points for Chhattisgarh.

In another quarterfinal, Railways edged out AP 23-22.
