Arrangements for elections

SANGAREDDY: Having enough indication from the higher authorities that the next general elections may be scheduled in the beginning of 2009, the district administration is making arrangements in that direction. As part of it the administration has decided to procure 250 digital cameras on its own. The purpose was to prepare the voters lists with photo identity cards as directed by the Election Commission of India.

The village revenue officers would also be asked to take photos of voters and compile the list along with the private agency staff.
