Identified as medical students from Sonepat Kurukshetra: Two budding medicos committed suicide by allegedly consuming poisonous substance in a room of the Krishna Dham Arora Dharamshala here. While the girl died after she was shifted to the local civil hospital, the boy was shifted to the PGI Chandigarh in a serious condition. The police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC and are investigating the case. Both had come from Sonepat where they were students. According to Thanesar police station SHO Inspector Shamsher Singh, the duo had arrived in the Krishna Dham Dharamshala on Wednesday evening and stayed there as married couple with fictitious address after booking a room for the night. When they did not report for departure next forenoon as they had mentioned, the Dharamshala employee knocked at the door of the room but there was no response. He apprised the manager who called the police to break open the door. Both the youngsters were lying in a state of semi- consciousness on their bed. They were shifted to the civil hospital where the girl succumbed to the poisonous substance which she had swallowed. The boy was referred to PGI Chandigarh. The police said no suicide note was found in the room. –PTI
