AGP to launch stir against Gogoi Govt.

NEW DELHI: The Asom Gana Parishad has decided to talk with like-minded parties to launch an agitation against the Tarun Gogoi government but before that it intends to enter into a seat-sharing agreement for the Lok Sabha elections.

The newly-elected president of AGP, Chandra Mohan Patwari, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in Assam Assembly, along with party MPs Arun Kumar Sarma, Sarbananda Sonowal and Birendra Prasad Baishya told journalists here on Tuesday that he would be holding talks with all non-Congress parties on November 15 to agitate for the ouster of the Gogoi government. To press their demand the AGP submitted a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil on Monday.
