Woman set ablaze by husband dies

HYDERABAD: Prameela, 35, who was set on fire allegedly by her husband and his relatives on Sunday night at her house in Koheda village of Hayathnagar, succumbed to her burns on Monday while being treated at a hospital.
Her husband, Gopal, his elder brother, Danaiah, and their two relatives, Dhanunjaiah and Rangaiah, were taken into custody, Inspector N. Narsimha Reddy said. A labourer, Gopal married Prameela nearly 10 years ago. According to the Inspector, the labourer deserted and married another woman Anita. While he lived with Anita separately, Prameela was residing in another house.
The four accused had allegedly entered Prameela’s house late on Sunday night, doused her with kerosene while she was asleep and set her on fire.
