Three killed as van overturns

HYDERABAD: A speeding Eicher van overturned while taking a turn at Thondpally village near Shamshabad on city outskirts on Tuesday morning, killing three persons travelling in it. The van driver fled the scene. The van carrying a load of tomatoes was coming to the city from Madanapalle in Chittoor district. Two of the victims were identified as B. Veranna, 42, and B. Venkat, 23, Shamshad police station Inspector S. Ravichandra told reporters. They were from Devunipanta village of Kurnool district. The third victim, aged about 20 years, was not yet identified.
