Manjrekar XI all out for 100

MUMBAI: Bowlers dominated the first day of the four-day 23rd Sportstar Trophy selection trial u-19 cricket tournament third round, giving batsmen a taste of things to come.

Opting to bat, Vijay Manjrekar XI was bowled out for 100 in 47.1 overs against Khandu Rangnekar XI. At one stage it was tottering at 54 for nine before the last wicket pair of Gaurav Suryavanshi and Ashutosh Gokhale added 46.

Medium-pacer Javed Khan (three for 17) and off-spinner Siddharth Prasad (four for 24) did the most of the damage. At stumps, Rangnekar was in a spot of bother at 69 for five, with Parth Nikhil managing 27.
