Kidney stones removed

Bagalkot: The Kerudi Hospital and Research Centre of Bagalkot district has removed 120 stones from a kidney of a patient by Percutaneous Neophro Lithotomy (PCNL) method.

The procedure, which was done by Somshekhar Kerudi, adhering to the guidelines of the Guinness Book of Records, has been recorded.

In a release, Dr. Kerudi gave the patient’s name as Maruthi Shashibal (22). “It is a difficult procedure and there are only a few centres that have the instruments for the treatment,” he added.
