Attention diversion gang strikes again
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: An attention diversion gang struck again in the twin cities on Tuesday, when they robbed a woman and her son of Rs 4 lakh near Attapur junction in Rajendranagar. The gangsters, however, used a different modus operandi this time. They told the duo travelling by car that petrol was leaking and when the occupants stopped to check, one of them snatched the cash bag.
The victims were Chandra Charan, 25, and his mother, Shiromani, 55, who were returning home in their Maruti Alto after withdrawing the money from a bank in Kakatiya Nagar branch around 11.30 a.m.
